Dear Reader,

My name is Brittany and I come from a low income background. I will be the first family member to attend college. These four past years, I have gained so much knowledge from my high school. My participation in academic programs and clubs has helped me shape the person I am today. For instance, Upward Bound, M.E.R.I.T.S., and A.V.I.D. has helped me prepare for college readiness. As for clubs: Red Cross, National Honor Society, and Stand Up To Cancer has helped me built upon my leadership skills to be a better leader. I have not only gained skills that are applicable towards my college education, but also leadership skills where I am able to achieve a common goal with a group of people. I have sense a community of friends and teachers whom I also consider as my second family. I have also changed where I am determined to achieve every goal I set myself up for.  Overall, high school has definitely helped shape the person I am today - whom I am actually proud to be me. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.

 Sincerely,

Brittany Nguyen
