Reflection Essay

The first year of high school, I learned a lot of things in my english class. We read great written books such as: To Kill a Mockingbird, The Odyssey, and Romeo and Juliet. These books have helped me opened my perspective and look at the greater picture. In addition to that, I learned literary terms like foreshadow, which means when/what something is hinted to predict the future later on the story. I am now familiar with correctly citing my sources and writing my essays in MLA format. Throughout the course, my writing slowly improved as I continued to add the new literary terms I have learned and my mind embedded with more knowledge.
